HMOs are organized to hold down both costs and insurance premiums. Associated Family Physicians agrees to monitor costs, but we serve our patients, not insurance companies.

Medicare HMOs/Senior Plans

Medicare is currently encouraging seniors to enroll in HMOs. These usually provide more services than plain Medicare, with minimal or no insurance premiums from the patient. We see Senior Plan patients through Hill Physicians.

PPOs are insurance plans which contract with doctors and hospitals. Patients usually have the option to seek physicians outside the plans, in contrast to HMOs, but usually have to pay more if they see non-participating physicians.

Deductible Policy – Please note that if your insurance contract includes a deductible, you will be charged $75.00 at each office visit to go towards this.  Any further amount over $75.00 that your insurance requires towards your deductible, will be billed to you and due upon receipt.   Once your deductible has been met for the calendar year, we will continue to collect your copay for each visit thereafter.
