Micheal Smith, Physician Assistant |

Micheal was born and raised in California, attending community college before joining the U.S. Navy. As a hospital corpsman stationed in San Diego and Oakland, he worked as a nursing corpsman on surgical and ICU wards. Micheal also participated on a surgical support team during the 1975 evacuation of Vietnam. Upon returning to civilian life, he trained at Stanford as a certified paramedic, and firefighter with Washington and California fire departments. After completing a degree from Saint Mary's college, he was accepted as a Paramedic field coordinator for a Northern California EMS agency. Returning to patient care as a licensed vocational nurse in hospital and office practice, Micheal subsequently completed U.C. Davis's FNP/PA program.
Micheal has since gained urban and rural PA experience in family practice, urgent care, occupational health, and correctional medicine. He is a board-certified PA, on the volunteer faculty at U.C. Davis School of Medicine and a member of the California and American Association of Physician Assistants. Micheal's interest encompasses general primary care including geriatrics and pulmonary medicine. He looks forward to the privilege of helping you with your medical care. Michael lives with his wife Nancy and two boys in Davis. |
